Flint Mayor Returns From Sweden, Optimistic About Biogas Project

Flint Mayor Dayne Walling is back from a trip to Sweden where he met with representatives for Swedish Biogas to discuss an expansion of the waste-to-energy project that the Swedish company launched in Flint, MI, late in 2008.  

Flint has been hard hit by the recession and the downturn of the auto industry. Alternative energy could be one way to fill the economic void. Dayne Walling told reporters that the biogas project is moving ahead.
