SACC 2.0 – Our Vision

The first ever SACC Summit held May 3rd, 2012 - unveiled a new joint vision for the 19 Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce in the USA – “SACC 2.0″.

The past year of organizational development and change has led to a renewed network with endless opportunities to support our members as a network. Having all chambers in the network present in the same room, and the introductory remarks by SACC-USA´s Chairman Bradley J Olson and President Therese Lindé gathered the participants around the SACC 2.0 vision, in the sense that the chambers are coordinated and connected to each other as never before.

Having started with one chamber in New York City in 1906, another one in San Francisco 54 years later, and then to 5 chambers in the United States in 1987, the need for a coordinated communication network with Sweden was growing. SACC-USA was founded in 1988 by Olle Wijkström and Franklin Forsberg, as an umbrella for the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce in the USA, and since then, 19 chambers have developed under that umbrella.

“Our vision is now to be the #1 bilateral chamber business network in the USA through utilizing this regional, national international network that we have carefully grown for so long”, said Bradley J. Olson, Chairman of SACC-USA.

By being a member of the SACC-USA network, using our knowledge and connections, our members´ businesses are better off than by using any other trade organization, continued Therese Lindé, President of SACC-USA. She noted that “through secured infrastructure, sustaining and developing knowledge, connections and networks, and through hosting matchmaking events, we are an important promoter and accelerator of Swedish-American trade, which is our end game.

Still coordinating transatlantic communication and partnerships through SACC-USA, the opportunities to develop and grow collaborations between the chambers are growing at a fast rate. Through connecting investment capital, business, know-how, and government organizations, SACC 2.0 can, depending on what your objectives are for utilizing our network, help our members learn about, explore, prepare, establish, market and influence actors in their market in the U.S. and Sweden.
