SACC-Philadelphia works with a variety of strategic partners to facilitate trade missions to the Philadelphia region. These partners include Select Greater Philadelphia, a non-profit economic development organization, as well as the City ofPhiladelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In connection to these trade missions, SACC-Philadelphia helps companies arrange meetings with potential business partners and other contacts.

During August 2011, SACC-Philadelphia worked with the Swedish company Specops Software, an international software vendor offering management products enhancing Active Directory and Group Policy based technology. Specops was founded in 2001, is privately held and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has an office in Toronto, Canada and a customer base of over 3000 customers throughout more than 50 countries. Specops contacted SACC-Philadelphia when they considered locating it´s US operations in the Philadelphia Region.  Together with Select Greater Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, SACC-Philadelphia hosted the CEO of Specops during their visit to Philadelphia.  After a very successful trade mission, SACC-Philadelphia is pleased to announce that Specops will be opening its U.S. headquarters in the region later this year.

“We put a tremendous amount of thought and engineering talent into developing solutions that will provide our customers with enormous business value. This approach has driven the success of our desktop management and password management solutions in the U.S. and ultimately led us to the decision to open a U.S. headquarters in Philadelphia.  We are very excited to join the Philadelphia business community and have been delighted with the support that we have received from SACC-Philadelphia.” – Tobias Oien, CEO of Specops Software.
