About SACC-USA
The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce of the United States, Inc. (SACC-USA) is the umbrella organization for 19 regional chambers in the United States. The SACC network help Swedish companies find the right partners in the USA – and vice versa. Through this grass root network we ensure that our member’s products, services and information are presented in the right way to the right people in both the United States and in Sweden.
Special Director of Young Professional Members of SACC
SACC-USA Young Professionals (SACC USA YP) was founded by Christopher Westerlund, previous Special Director, and built together with previous and currents SACC-USA leaders in order to attract, develop and secure the retention of our youngest talents and future leaders in the network. SACC-USA YP is today established in several chambers around the USA as well as on two locations in Sweden. We are now looking for a new Special Director for the member category Young Professionals.
Some of the opportunities and challenges of this position are:
o Working closely with the regional SACC chamber board of directors to support the development of the YP member category in every regional SACC chamber.
o Working closely with the leaders of SACC USA, including the SACC-USA President, Therese Linde, to coordinate and develop the YP Network across the chamber as well as national programs for YP.
o Becoming acquainted with all of the current YP sections and the emerging Swedish American business leaders of the local chambers
o Inspiring and supporting the establishing of new YP sections within the regional chambers part of SACC USA both in the United States and in Sweden.
This position offers a prestigious and gate-opening non-paid volunteer opportunity for anyone who is in the first 10 years of their career and is looking to for an opportunity to expand their network across both sides of the Atlantic, develop leadership experience and start an international career. As the Special Director of YP you will be invited to the SACC-USA board meetings and events and you will be supported by an advisory board consisting of previous leaders of SACC USA YP and senior business leaders.
For the position we prefer you to be a resident in the U.S., and with at least one year of previous engagement in SACC.
