The American Swedish Historical Museum in South Philadelphia is the oldest Swedish Museum in the United States. Founded in 1926, the Museum has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Swedish and Swedish-American cultural heritage and traditions for nearly 80 years. We are looking for a trainee to assist with Marketing and PR activities such as advertising, updating and creating the museum’s profile on social networks (Facebook, Twitter), maintaining the museum’s website, creating event flyers and invitations, working on the quarterly newsletter, and managing all e-mail marketing and press releases. This internship will also focus on membership communication, such as updating the membership database, working with membership letters and renewals.

Finished, or almost finished, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, PR, communication or similar field. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator a must. Prior experience with web design and social media websites is a plus.
