Job Description


We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Development Intern at the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce Georgia (SACC-Georgia). Through a diverse range of activities, including networking events, cultural programs, market research, trade initiatives, and member services, we strive to build strong connections between Sweden and Georgia.As a Business Development Intern, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward. We're seeking an individual who can thrive working independently under supervision while actively engaging in various projects. Your professional skills are important to us, and we equally value a service-minded approach.

As a Business Development Intern you will actively promote the Chamber at networking events, showcasing the benefits of collaboration and fostering meaningful connections within the business community. Meet with potential members and sponsors, understanding their needs, and highlighting the value of SACC-Georgia's offerings. Take charge of organizing various Chamber events, contributing to their success and ensuring a seamless experience for participants. Handle routine administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations. Utilize your knowledge in accounting to support the monthly financial administration of SACC-Georgia.

PLEASE NOTE: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
  • Higher education within business administration, finance, communication, project management or a relevant field.
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, juggling various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Possess a strong service-oriented mindset, understanding the importance of client satisfaction and relationship-building.
  • Experience or knowledge in accounting is considered an additional qualification, contributing to the meticulous administration of finances.
  • Any skills in sales are advantageous, enhancing your ability to engage potential members and sponsors effectively.

This is a six-month internship starting in January of 2025. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J-1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
