Job Description


We are looking for two outgoing and ambitious interns who are passionate about economy, marketing, operations management, and event planning. Together, they will assist in the day-to-day activities, promote the Chamber, recruit new members and organize the Chamber’s events and operations. Key tasks and duties will include:
  • Promoting the Chamber and Chamber events
  • Assisting in membership program development
  • Provide general office administration
  • Assisting in recruiting new Chamber members
  • Organizing Chamber events, including coordinating volunteers for these
  • Attending Chamber specific networking events
  • Preparing board meetings


Marketing and Business Development Intern


As the Marketing and Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for managing the marketing material. You will play a crucial role in creating new and creative content that not only captures the audience's attention but also upholds the SACC Florida branding. This position will include responsibility for:
  • Developing marketing materials for the chamber's social media platforms and events.
  • Maintaining and updating the Chamber databases.
  • Ensuring that the Chamber website is up to date.
  • Managing social media accounts and analyzing social media metrics.
  • Demonstrating a creative approach on how to create marketing material. Previous international experience, as well as experience in WordPress and graphic design is an advantage but not a requirement.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
  • Higher education within business administration, finance, communication, or a relevant field.
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, juggling various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Possess a strong, outgoing service-oriented mindset, understanding the importance of client satisfaction and relationship-building.
  • Related work or extracurricular experience

This is a six-month internship starting in January of 2025. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J-1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience and business-related skills, while also developing a professional international network.
