Job Description

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in Washington, DC?

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington, D.C. (SACC-DC) is hiring a Marketing / Communication intern to start in the summer of 2025.

The internship is a 12-month, full-time program divided into two phases: six months at SACC-DC and a six-month part-time arrangement shared between the SACC DC office and a SACC DC Member organization. This setup enables the intern to gain extensive experience in both the nonprofit and commercial sectors throughout their year in DC. Previous interns have been placed at companies such as Volvo Cars, AstraZeneca, Axis Communications, SAAB North America, and Skanska.

Phase 2 of the internship is paid, and the intern receives a stipend funded through the Lars Bjarde Fund, which honors the late Lars Bjarde, former VP of SAAB North America and one of the founders of SACC DC.

Washington, D.C., is a vibrant city and international hub. SACC DC works at the intersection of politics and business. It is part of a dynamic team at the House of Sweden on the Georgetown waterfront. The Swedish Embassy, SACC USA, and several Swedish companies share facilities with us.

After finishing their internship at SACC DC, the intern will have acquired practical experience and built a wide network to advance their international careers.
