​​​​​​​The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, SACC-USA, serves as the umbrella organization for 19 regional chambers across the United States. The mission of the SACC network is to facilitate and support trade, commerce, and investment between Sweden and the U.S. in both directions.

Job Description

SACC-USA is currently seeking a Talent Mobility Outreach intern to join our team for the fall of 2024. As a Talent Mobility Outreach intern, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the SACC-USA Talent Mobility program, which fosters transatlantic knowledge exchange between Sweden and the United States. We are looking for an individual who possesses an innovative mindset, is self-motivated, and has great communication skills. This position requires a long-term perspective, as you will be responsible for developing the program in collaboration with all SACC-USA regional chambers. Key responsibilities include nurturing and expanding relationships with regional SACC chambers and member companies in both the United States and Sweden, as well as promoting the Talent Mobility Program.

The training position will allow you to perform various business activities including:

• Business development - creating new ideas to develop the Talent Mobility Program further
  
• Building and sustaining business relationships with SACC regional chambers, SACC member companies, and Swedish companies
  
• Creating marketing materials and social media content
  
• Administrative tasks such as setting up job ads, performing first-screening of candidates, and assisting other departments of SACC-USA
  
• Project management

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled, or recently graduate, in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
• Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
• Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Outgoing personality and strong communications skills
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities

Benefits

This is a six-month internship starting in January of 2025. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J-1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
