  • Invitation to Chalmers Dinner

    The President and CEO of Chalmers University of Technology of Sweden, Ms. Karin Markides, will join us here in Washington, D.C. for a dinner event on Tuesday January 3, 2012. She will have a presentation of the latest activities and research at Chalmers and speak on ”Chalmers’ added value to business and society through students, new knowledge and collaboration”.

  • Academia meets Industry through the SACC-USA Trainee Program

    Hosting an intern could be an opportunity for U.S. companies to get access to knowledge and know-how from Swedish students writing their Bachelor, Master or PhD theses. Juwel Rana, PhD student at Luleå University of Technology, recently came back from his internship at Ericsson Research in the U.S. where he got the chance to better understand the impact of his work from a global perspective.

    You probably have a number of pending projects piling up because there never seems to be enough time in the day. Or perhaps you have had some brilliant ideas that remain just ideas for the same reason. The solution: host a Swedish trainee to do the project or develop the idea for you!

  • SACC Young Professionals Expanding in Sweden

    The SACC YP groups in Sweden arrange happy hours, company visits and other activities for our trainee alumni, consisting of Americans in Sweden as well as Swedes who have been or will be living in the U.S. Let SACC Young Professionals in Gothenburg or Stockholm be your landing spot coming home from your internship or your introduction to the network before take-off.

  • Sign up for a Bright Engineering Intern

    In June 2012 about forty well-educated Chalmers students will arrive in the U.S. eager to spend up to 12 months interning at various companies in need of competent assistance. The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce have partnered with Chalmers University of Technology since 2009 to offer our members access to qualified technology students who are looking to share their expertise while gaining international experiences.

  • U.S. Department of State presents a Swedish trainee

    Anna Karlsson, trainee at VisitSweden in New York on a J-1 visa sponsored by the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce-USA, is currently featured on the U.S. Department of State’s homepage. Anna is glad to share her positive experiences and encourage any students within tourism and marketing to apply for an internship at VisitSweden as a way to get hands-on experience in both fields.

  • SACC organized US visit for Linnaeus University students

    Maria Mogyoro and Lydia Jungmin Choi, students at the Master Program in Marketing at Linnaeus University, wrote their thesis as part of the research program “Swedish clean tech firms’ market expansion”. The project aims to answer questions about how cleantech companies perceive competition and obstacles in their search for expansion. In March, Maria and Lydia went on a two weeks visit to the United States as part of the research financed by the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation.

  • SACC Collaborates with the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH

    New Contacts, New Ways, New York
    Project Destination is a non-profit international project, carried out by elected top students at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm as a part of KTH’s student union. It is a student held organization consisting of four sub-projects. This year’s edition travelled to New York, the US West Coast, London, and Russia. The project is performed as a course in which dedicated students from different programs practice their skills in entrepreneurship, project management and teamwork.

  • Meet SACC-USA Young Professionals

    SACC-USA Young Professionals (SACC-USA YP) is an interactive section of the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce (SACC) for young professionals with an interest in Swedish-American relations. SACC-USA YP is dedicated to provide a forum to develop and strengthen social and professional relations with the already existing SACC-USA organization and its local chapters.
